Yes... This lens is definitely able to depending on d situations... I have yet to perfect it... Keke :bsmilie:

I think even the famous Bokeh King Lens of Leica when the distance of your busy background and subject is at perfect it will produce a busy background...

The lights effect looks weird.... All a bit oval in shape instead of round type... Is the aperture completely wide open?

how about this bro? :P

Some flare due to strong light in the background weird actually...

IME, this is true, bro. For example, put foliage a few meters behind your subject at f/1.4 and some "cream machines" will render a busy background. Increase the distance of the same background and even f/5.6 will render a smooth OOF area, depending on the lens. Getting a pleasing bokeh depends on the photographer as much as on the lens.

Thanks bro yeah agree ^_^

Just brought the new baby to a holiday trip. I don't have any premium lenses to pair with it, just attached with the default lens 28-70 OSS.
This lens is not stellar but a solid performer for a kit lens, looks pretty decent to me...

Here is my test with Sony A7. With Voigtlander 15mm LTM and Leica 24mm Elmar. Both lenses not so good on the A7. Time to save up for VC 21mm 1.8 I guess....

RF lenses still shows some light magenta cast over A7 worst in A7r that's why with A7/x I think the best wide lenses are non-RF lens but the down side is the lens size :-( .. I have 21mm F4 Leica-R no issued with the cast the main issue I have is the vignetting...

My main issue is more in the smearing toward the edges. Nothing can recover the detail lost. I did try putting aps-c mode on the 15mm making it equivalent 21mm and it works wonder. I might use that combo until there is a good 21mm or 24mm from Sony.

On the other hand I thank whoever up there who made me sell my Leica 35mm Summicron ASPH 3 months ago. Reports from the web indicate poor showing for the 35mm Cron ASPH, the Lux FLE is wonderful though.

Wow really Cron-M 35 ASPH not good on A7/x I have the R version so far its great on A7r (to my noobs eyes) :-) not sure how other may look at it. One thing I like with non-RF lenses is the minimum focusing distance you can get really close more. RF lenses has this 1m MFD unless you use adaptors which would allow you to lower the MFD

1m? I thought it's 70cm? Anyway, non-RF lenses rock! :)

mine I have two M mount both saw 3.4ft (1m) even my LTM lenses shows the same bro.. unless you use the adaptor that cold lower the MFD to 0.7m... yeah non-RF is awesome minus the weight factor :)

Fwah, I really dig the defocusing effects on these!

he's the bokeh king so he only play with lens that produce great bokeh... plus he is spreading poison at the same time

that's why helicoid adaptors like the hawk's factory are simply one of the best accessories you can get for adapting RF lenses hehe
