OK, that vignetting cannot get fixed without cropping. Thanks for uploading a shot!

yeah so was wondering how did the 10-18 performs as shown? sadly I don't have SEL10-18. I even tried on my SEL18-50 and SEL35f1.8 all looks the same unless I turn on the auto crop feature but I will have APS-C FOV

its bad bro even I shoot at F8 already here's a sample (Auto APS-C Size Capture is turn off)

Haha that looka like a dpreview test scene of sorts

Totally agree especially walking in the rain with an umbrella in hand, was pretty much raining almost everyday while i was in japan. the oss and af helped a lot. just snap and walk on. Dont get why people bash the kits so much, would love to see them pulling focus with a single shivering hand in the cold or a hyperactive dog on a leash :) Anyway nice shot of the miniature collie.

haha you were in Tokyo? I went there 4 times in the past 1 yr.... lovely, perfect place for street photography!
I did shoot there one handed in the rain while holding the very nice transparent umbrella (lugged 2 back haha!) with the M9 and a 35mm lens set to 2.5 to 3 metres, f11, 1/250. Basically, I didn't have to focus :)

Whisky is a shetland sheepdog, yeah a smaller version of the Border Collie....

some people have used the nikon dx 35 1.8 and sigma dc 30 1.4 on full frame and showed they covered almost the full frame fov as well, but to use those on the A7 you will need adaptors.

May I ask how about Zeiss Touit 12/2.8 in FF mode?

anyone tried the SEL 10-18 between 13mm-16mm can post here? alpharumours shows some images showing it is "usable", not too sure about how the edges hold up though, possible temporary autofocus capable work-around before the UWA FE lenses come along.

I read this some time back on Brian Smith's website (Brian is some kind of ambassador for Sony I think), where he wrote about this in his blog: http://briansmith.com/sony-a7r-10-18-e-mount-lens/

Only works at certain focal lengths in the middle!

ya from most of the postings so far online it can be used between 13-16mm. 13-16mm on full frame is plenty wide if the corners hold up as they were not designed for full frame.

hence hope for some full resolution shared shots hehe. the crops brian showed in the link were from the aps-c areas and not the edges

For UWA, I think the Sigma 12-24mm is a full frame lens and the A-mount version should work with the LA-EA4 adapter. You should also get full EXIF and AF.

ya.. any a mount uwa will work with the sony a-e adaptors, the a mount 16-35 is a good option too if the large size is acceptable.

the 10-18 is interesting because of it's small size and visible coverage of the full frame sensor between 13-16mm.

I see you have Sigma 12-24 in Canon mount. Can you shoot some samples for us to see on the A7r?

Haaa I wld love to do that if I have a metabones v3 ef to nex adaptor. But I don't think thst adaptor is worth $399. Perhaps when third parties come up with full frame smart adaptor alternatives

It's actually not bad, usable enough if you own already the lens but I wouldn't buy it for full-frame use only.

There are cheaper ones from China. You can try bidding for this...
