Looks ok to me.
Congrats on the lens.
Is it big and whats the weight like?
And can it take filters to the front?

Hi bro thanks yeah the lens seems to perform well and noticed very less barrel distortion the imagine posted are not been corrected just crop a bit to remove the vignette. Yeah it's big bigger than my Leica-R 21mm Super Angulon :-) yes the lens could take filter (77mm) one thing I like with it also. Sadly my FL-NEX adaptor upon visual checking seems the one causing the Vignette than the lens.

My lens although has a marking it say "R" but it looks like the FL non-R version :-(

Did you recover the shadows in 1536? Great pictures raf. Glad to know photography is still a viable hobby even when the kids arrive :)

Fooh..what a trip...still recovering and now checking CS. Thanks Richie for the encouragement, always nice to hear people say nice pictures cause the work you have to put it ain't easy, so whatever bit of encouragement is a great motivation to keep trying.

For 1536, yes I think it was a little dark but with LR5 and A7 RAW files they make it real easy. The DR on these machines is just crazy good.

I buy/sell a lot of cameras on CS and I feel bad for dads/new dads who bought really good cameras for their taking picture of kids and ended up selling a year or so later cause they can't find the time/places to really make full use of it. So some ended up going back to compact as they can't justify the costs. But this trip to Perth and NZ was a 30 days trip and I'm telling you it's tough, especially you are doing it in manual. Using one hand to shoot and one hand to hold one kid makes you miss some shots sometimes cause you didn't get the right f/stop or SS with one hand, but it can be done. I almost always have to shoot with one eye on the EVF and the other eye on another kid, ensuring she doesn't wander around in a foreign land. And all those times I had to carry 2 bags, all their stuff. But I'm happy, overall, with the output given the challenges even though they are mostly non-moving subjects. It's not saying that these are gallery-worthy pictures but to me it's just great motivation to know that it can be done just don't give up on photography if you love it.

My next challenge is to try to capture things in Singapore. So many beautiful things here, a lot of heart warming images to capture for future generations. But of course...first I have to find the time. :)

Shoot more. Talk less. :) The blue sky is back.....

Blue sky also mean hot weather is back. It is hot, dry and windy. Passed by this grass patch that soon turn into "forest" fire.

Contax N 17-35 @ 35mm heavily cropped.

Our fire fighters quickly arrived and battle the rousing flames...

They managed to extinguished the flames and later hosed the area down. Today, they won against nature.
