A7 have the flexibility to go 24-70mm mah....
I am considering a compact system to go with my Canon gears... I was bitten by Zeiss bug actually.... and with A7 FF, I think no point go Fuji as I quite like the Fuji too....
Now... still open minded about it... Sony A7 launched so recently, will wait a bit more... and see what other lens they will line up...

Just get the EF35/2 IS. You can use on both systems once you get the Metabones.
Now not sure if Zeiss will launch its FE line. There are no Zeiss for the DSLR Alpha other than Sony's branded Zeiss lenses.

Had a 1hr free time to wander around while waiting for a friend.
The Pentax M85/2 may not the fastest nor technically correct lens, but I like it a lot for the really compact size.
The size of a 50/1.4 and maybe even smaller compared to some of those.
Very handy and also contrsty and a nice rendering that I like.

I thought the Sony Zeiss are good enough... with AF.... or hv a compact ff system with A7..... went thru a few pages to catch up and learn about Sony range.

The Sony Zeiss 35/2 on the RX1/Rs is superb, possibly one of the best modern 35/2 lens U can find. Sony Zeiss should launch an FE 35/2 in a year or 2... Compact power lens... M waiting

Will just hang on for now...... or go A7 for compact system.
Is AF on A7 fast with A mount lens via adapter?

Using the LA-EA4 adaptor... Its pretty fast on the AF... I m just not into heavy adaptor/lens combo... so skipped the A mount route...
my Canon FL 19mm f3.5R just came and did a quick test
1. Some heavy vignette on the upper corners (strange this could be the Adaptor will check again once a much better one arrives)
2. it's big lens and bit heavy
3. Good color reproduction
4. good sharpness I think I have a contender to my Leica 21mm f4 Super Angulon
Update : I just check if the vignette was caused by the Lens or the adaptor looks like it's the FL/FD-NEX adaptor I mounted the adaptor without the lens and look how it covers the Sensor it seems it covers some of the corners :-(
