Sony A55 .. Dpreview Gold award!!!!

Hmm a55 will come with gps rite , not familiar with cam gps, does it mean the location info will be part of the file exif info ?

yes.. the photo location register in exif file... that means if u shoot in your house..

we will know where u stay

lol :bsmilie::sweatsm:

To me it seems that the main weaknesses are the battery life, and the fragility/cleaning of the translucent mirror is not clearly explained.

Haha next question would be how to remove the info inexif !! Haha

Battery life I guess we should get the vg . As for the. Mirrors nothing to be concern about ba :dunno: since it's nit going to move haha

finally!!! after all the waiting!!! i cannot wait to get my hands on the A55. yummy...

But only the A33 coming in the comex leh.....

Still, its such a technological break-thru I have no doubts the A33 will sell like crazy during the launch.

i saw, abeit a brief observation, that the ISO performance is inferior even to the a550.
so all the talk about iso25600 == a900's iso400 is the multiple exposure + s/w noise reduction thing?

Wow! That's all I can say after reading about the A55... looks like a good second body... I can finally sell off my KM 7D?

Agree, you should keep it. It's still a very capable cam. I am still holding on to mine. ;)

Hi, Is it OK to team up A55 with 16-105mm f3.5- 5.6 instead of 18-55mm which is not good enough

It's Available as body only option... :) and can mount all sorts of A-mount lenses. :D

You can mount any a-mount lenses, except that during video, the built-in AF motor will be louder that SAM.

So I believe sony is coming up with some kit lenses with SSM for A33/55. probably a 16-80G SSM in the making?

In meantime, Sigma 17-50 f2.8 HSM seems to be a good lens for videoing with a33/55...

$1.5k for lens only or body and lens?

how bout the tokina 11-16 f2.8

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/687279-REG/Tokina_ATX116PRODXS_11_16mm_f_2_8_AT_X_116.html

or get a SAL35F18 then use the pano function to get wide angle shot, but probably won't work for moving subjects.

or the Sigma 10-20s then bump up the iso for indoor enviroment.

Some rumours here as well :bsmilie: : http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr5-new-sal-18-250-with-sam-leaked/

I guess right ! :bsmilie: ...Sony's A33/A55 is more in direct competition with Panasonic's range of video capable DSLR rather than the Canikon's line up (that's where the A560/A580 fits in ! :bsmilie:).

The impending releases of the A33/A55 has touched some raw nerves in the Panasonics G1/GH1 camp : http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=221014

Sheesh ! ...the cameras aren't even released into the market yet and some pple are already trying their level best to suppress it. :dunno:
