Colors? With today digital image processing, is not really a big deal. However, if you really compare good portrait lenses, N is as expensive as CZ.

im interested to know too.. deciding on a580 or a55 to replace my a300.
except for the 85 f1.4
nikon portraiture lens is grossly over priced... once u used the sony cz 85,135.
their 85,105 and 135 is nothing u would rave about. u need at least a 200mm f2 to beat the 138mm f1.8 cz.

personally think canon and sony had a better lineup than nikon

nikon 105 and 135 is overpriced, 85 is still afforable...but since u already had the 135mm f1.8...i can assure u the abv 3 mentioned definitely can't beat yr cz
I think the A580 will have slightly better IQ given more light to the sensor. Also getting one to replace my a300 hehehe.
a ff will always beat an aps-c size sensor...
a 2005 1dsmk2 will still beat the crap out of the canon 7D with digic4/5 processor
the same go for a850 and a55

Agree, you should keep it. It's still a very capable cam. I am still holding on to mine.
Ya.. I'm still keeping mine 7D as well. This A55 looks yummy. Wonder how's the video's performance. I am intending to get this just to shoot video and as a backup to my KM 7D. This would be my first sony gadget if I ever buy it.. :bsmilie:

More light to sensor does not mean it will be better. They both use the same sensor and processor, so for the same iso setting, everything should be equal.
The only diff is the mirror used. For a55, just crank up ev+0.3 and you will have same exposure as a580, except u need 1/3 stop iso higher to get same shutter speed.
..... put it this way ........ it is like using an additional filter of -1/3 stop on the camera ................. the pellicle doesn't affect the image too much as long as as there are no unforeseen issues ................... :dunno:

Anyone knows wats e diff btw A33 n A55 sensor? I know e diff in technology is megapixels and fps which does matter much to me if slight diff...dpreview mentioned A33 use same sensor as NEX5 but A55 using a total diff new sensor(wonder if e sensor technology is diff too) .. i will go for A33 if sensor nt much diff
From imaging resource, it seems the a55 peform slightly better in high iso.
Other than that few features are deciding factor:
- larger buffer for continuous shooting
- gps
- 2mp more
- longer battery life
