yup thats what ive been doing, first impression (part 2)

its taking some time to get used to the controls, apreture/shuttle speed / iso ..

not easy to get a clear shot at max zoom, always blurry.. probably because my room is not bright enough, but there is flash though :dunno:

even at high iso
Obviously, its not easy getting shots at extreme ranges.

I learnt for 6mths before I can take REMOTELY DECENT PHOTOS. Its not a 1 day idiot-proof affair.

Enjoy yeself ;)

hehehe....i'm having a tough time adjusting to DSLR too...was on film SLR...

last time... on SLR...I had to wait until the roll is finished to change the ISO...or i've to use a interchangeable film back. But now on my DSLR...there's no film back...so I still don't know when to change the ISO. And the camera rear has no window to let me check if there's film loaded as well!!!!

to develop the photos...i'm going to try to dip the memory card into the film processing tray soon.

hahahaha....juz a joke.

blaming the camera from day 1 ah?

Joke of the year!

hahahahahaha....

I suggest to this poor guy..

Please use auto mode...

its will make you enjoy the camera...

And I think you had bought a cheapo camera, thus when you turn on, the lens wont come out by itself... remember to manually take away the "cover"..

Welll...... I dunno whether wanna laugh of cry. But no matter what, at least try to learn how to use a DSLR, in the long run you'll eventually learn its benefits vs. PnS cams.

Guys I believe there always be people who are really really noobs in the SLR world. I once read a thread here that someone wanna mount his SLR lens on a PnS digicam. ;p

yeah.. refer to this thread.. one super noob tried to mount his SLR lens on a pns digicam. :bsmilie:

i know thats why im playing around with it, only thing i dont have the time, hopefully when i go for a hike this saturday, i'll be able to experiment with the cam :D

thanks for the advice

do you want to experiment how 'weatherproof' your cam is? try shooting in the rain.

cyrn actually managed to get 9fps with his drenched 10D!!

Luckily he never buy 1Ds MK II.

and where's my live preview on 150u? i thought all p&s got live preview?

:bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Will someone get a Mark II and say, WTF? I didn't know there no built-in flash?

how abt "WTF no movie mode" :bsmilie:

Actually if he had read camera reviews from sites like Imaging Resource, it actually does state that there are no previews on DSLR cameras.

Cmon, fess up, i'm sure there must be some of us who had done initial shooting from digicam P&S and when the time came to upgrade to a DSLR, had the shock of our lives that what??!! No preview on the LCD screen??!

Cmon, there must be quite a few people who had gotten used to using the LCD screen on a P&S to preview a shot before having any knowledge of DSLRs.

actually i think u will learn to love the viewfinder more as the time goes by...to me...tat feeling of framing using the viewfinder is so much better than using a lcd..

Also can not record video :)
Many people see my 300D and think that it can record video because 'its so big'

well what if i'm lazy ???

i guess.. i spent 30 mins looking for the damm button :bsmilie:

damm, at least give me the CHOICE on if i want to use the view finder or not :nono:

Lazy?! How long does it take to plaster yr eye to the peephole? Would you be lazy if there was a naked girl in the peephole every time you looked into it?

ahahahaahahaha

Never thought the day would come when i'd see someone composing a photo with a dslr USING the lcd screen...

Oi.... go digital can la... but using old methods to compose and shoot is still

good luck
