Will the surrounding areas be cordoned off?

maybe can go around there to shoot the air stunts?

Forget the idea la... You won't even be allowed entry to the service road.

Changi Coast Road entry till site proper is 1.5km. You won't see anything significantly close enough.

Only 'public' accessible area that's barely close enough is the Changi Ferry Terminal. :dunno:

Can anyone confirm this and the location? Don't want to go there with the kids and "see sky see sea" ;p

This are indeed some flight display practices/rehearsals from today onwards.

Individual practices : about 10.30am-11.45am for 14 and 15 Feb.
and 10.30am-11.30am and 2pm-3pm for 16 (Sat) and 17 (Sun) Feb.

Combined rehearsal : 18 Feb (Monday) 11.30am-1pm

Should be able to see something along Changi Coastline but probably not close enough to get good close-up shots unless you have a very very long lens >500mm.

Detailed flying display timings are as follows :

19 Feb 2008 (Tue) 1230hr - 1400hr
20 – 24 Feb 2008 (Wed - Sun) 1215hr - 1345hr

Only 1 show per day..:thumbsd:

The commercial flights at Changi International Airport have to be stopped during the flying display at the Airshow or during practices/rehearsals.

So only 1 show per day to minimize the disruption to the operations at CIA.

I think, just like the Aerospace shows in the past, the public days will be much more crowded than trade days and will have much more time wasted for parking/transport and registration etc.

So it's better to go during trade days.

For the last Aerospace show, I had trade day tickets from a close friend in Temasek. This round, I have got trade day tickets from another close friend working in ST Group. ;p

So in summary the Air Display.

1. F16D by Black Knights team.
2. Pilatus PC9 trainer by Royal Australian Air Force Roulettes (team?)
3. 1 F-16C by USAF
4. 1 F/A18F by USAF
5. 1 Alenia Aermacchi M-346
6. 1 T/A-50 by Korea Aerospace Industries
7. 1 Airbus 380 (trade days only)

I expect better, but anyway bought tickets for both days already. The Boeing B1-B Lancer on static display is a nice surprise though, a cold war era bomber.

oh.. this year dun have Russian jets like SU-30, MIG-29 ? or even Eurofighter, we had seen much of American planes time to time, quite bored.

Singapore Airshow 2008 more cheaper  than Singapore F1
