I am the latest version of Sigma Pro for Mac and using the 1.03 firmware. I think 1.04 is a type rite? And tested with Raw most of the time.

Actually before getting the camera, I read all the review etc and understand the limitation.
I choose IQ over fast response speed and got the camera. What I worry now is actually whether my set is a faulty one as mine is a 2nd hand and it seems till now I am not yet really impressed with any shot I got from dp1 yet. Maybe I don't know how to use it yet, or my skill suck or I don't have the time to really go shoot around. Hoping that it is not due to the hardware problem.
And noticed that the iso is quite noisy but maybe I was always testing the shoot in low light condition and using higher ISO but read from some forum that it mention it perform not bad till ISO800.

Here is some ok test shot I did. Tomorrow will go out test the cam in day light and hope to have good result and pray my set is a good one.

It is not a typo. The latest firmware for the DP1 is 1.04

How come I can see the 1.03!!!
what happen to my webby, need to click refresh then it appear.

I place the .bin file in my sd card but the camera don't recognise and didn't give me option to update.

Hey, I got the same problem as you for the 1.04 firmware, any idea how u solve it?

You need to put the BIN file in the root directory of the SD card and not in any of the sub-directories like DCIM.
 

Yes, I quite sure I put the firmware on the root of the SD card, tried on 2 cards but still undetected. I upgraded to 1.03 two days ago without problem.

mmmm Maybe because my batt is not fully charged? I charging now and try later.

SDIM0073 = ISO 100, 4.0 sec F 5.6
SDIM0068 = ISO 200, 1/5 sec F 4.0
I deleted the files SDIM0058 ,SDIM0059 ,SDIM0060 by mistake I think so no info on it now.
But I think should be ISO 400-800 as I handheld it to shoot.
And those pic are resize to 800x600 for easy upload. So it prolly looks better after downsizing.

paisatge, you DP1 user too? You bought the hood & viewfinder?

Able detect the firmware now, batt need to be at least 3 bar. Thanks for the help.

Nope and I'm thinking of getting the DP1. Here in Spain I can get the whole package for about S$1600 (body+hood+viewfinder+flash). Is that a good price or is it cheaper in SG? If it's cheaper in SG, I would get it there since I'm going back in August anyway...if I decide to get one.

I think it is cheaper in Spain. I think it is cheaper in everywhere around the world than in Sg.
I think Sg is selling around 1.5k just the body. Need to be confirm as I bought mine 2nd hand.
Hood cost around $40 sg, viewfinder about $200 sg, flash I not sure.
But problem in buying oversea is the warranty as I think Sigma don't provide internationally warranty.
 

The DP1 now sells for USD699 in the US!

Raw conversion for DP1 is now supported in Adobe Camera RAW 4.6 Beta.
Downloadable from here:

Don't like the colours produced though... could be that it is still in beta and will improve when the final version comes out.
