How much will it be?

Are you guessing or do you know for sure? :p
oo i'm guessing based on the RRP in jp and the market price of amazon n bhp sites.
it's in the $800 - $1000 usd range..
from wat i heard, sg's distributor is slightly higher..
i do believe it'll never be below 1k..

checked with dealer already, 1.5k (include GST)....

but 700-800 soon after half yrs.... market is like that,,, body price drop fast...;)

canon 5D,, 6.5k-----5K-----3K-----now 2.5K for grey set...

whao..
that's quite high.. higher than the $1k usd RRP from sigma.. but i guess that's that...
does dealer refer to APD or like cathay?

cause i was talking to sigma earlier, the person there said that don't get it now or anywhere and go check the IT show, cause they having a special price then...
so wondering the $1500 is RRP or the IT show price..

cheers

Okay, that's nothing amazing, although I do agree that the sound, well, sounded pretty good.

Imaging Resource has samples

Looking at the last set of samples, ISO 100 and ISO 200 are excellent and ISO 400 is quite good. As is typical of a foveon sensor, it has quite high chrominance noise at ISO 800 - have to use some noise reduction software to get rid of it - but after running the NR software, there is still very good detail at ISO 800 - better than most compacts for sure. Again, can still see the green "vignetting" at the image corners.

No time lapse so will not get.

Yeah sounded good cause she could sing, but i still think the video has a 'film' look to it..

not in singapore. Actually any of you checked if they are selling the SD14 at a REASONABLE price? Saw it at Tangs and I think it was like close to $4k.....

DP1 with it's own limited edition leather case

just talked to sigma again..

sians.. $1600... plus only pre-order at IT show..
they will have it there to test..

will be selling under one of the big electronics gaint. not cathay, alan etc etc..

so i guess tat's why price not too attractive..

Pretty bad pricing... considering it's selling for US$800 on b&h - which works out to be about S$1100 considering the falling US$. Guess the IT Show price is RRP, so street price should be less - but doesn't seem so attractive.

Would like to see the DP1 succeed (to reward Sigma and convince other camera manufacturers to stop bringing out a lot of same old copy cat compacts with just more megapixels crammed into the tiny sensors)

Gee... sad. I was thinking a max. of SGD1100 for this cam... sigh... seems like need to wait awhile.
Really hope more makers will join the league.

My favorite dealer told me that he has already placed orders for the DP1 which should be available to him either later this week or next week. Sigma has only bought in 10 units this time round. That's why they are not selling it at the IT Show. Not cheap though at ~$1.6k.
