So far any more review of this lens ..? thx

I just saw a review of the Tokina 50-135 f/2.8 lens in DIGI (HK photography magazine). It doesn't look very promising either. What's worse is the weight: 845 g.
Care to share a summary of the Tokina review? :)

This Tokina and the Sigma seem like a really good small and compact alternative the the 70/80-200's for digital bodies. I wouldn't mind the small difference in weight if the Tokina is better built, which is quite likely the case. I have had two Sigmas, one an EX lens, fall apart on me, so never been keen on Sigma ever since.

Is the Sigma 50-150 plastic or metal body? One review mentioned powder-coated metal barrel... which seems unlikely given the low weight?

Just to warn you guys. The Sigma 50-150 f/2.8 lens has focusing issues in both Nikon and Canon mounts. This is particularly true when you're focusing at short distances e.g., 2 meters (beyond the minimum focusing. It will be wise to wait and see if Sigma issues a firmware update for the lens. Apart from this, the lens is very sharp even at f/2.8 (at least on the Sigma mount).
