Sigma 50mm f1.4 - new batch = outstanding performer

it is really horrible...
if the calibration doesnt work out...i will lose out a lot selling away a sigma..

Just bought yesterday. Mine also not sharp at f1.4 but when i go to f2 its alot better all the way to f16 is sharp.
Love the bokeh, so smooth...
Maybe mine need calibration too.

i think my 50/1.4 is sharp @ f/1.4.

care to share an example when you imply that your copy is not sharp?

Minglink's shot at f1.4 is really horrible. All other shots are also OOF.

The f1.4 shot is super unsharp... or issit OOF?
The sigma version is much ex den the canon one.. so @ f1.4 if not sharp is a waste of money...

BTW where and at wat price did you brought ur sigma 50 f1.4?

I am using tripod. Ok, as for the f1.4 i already said its not sharp so a calibration is required, i shall update here after i go for calibration it on Monday.

I bought it for about $830 at SLR Revolution.

Can somebody with the same lens post some testing shots so i can compare?

Nice. I have booked an appointment with them for Calibration next Monday. Hope problem can be sloved as i like this lens alot.

My Sigma 50 f1.4 is reasonably sharp @ f1.4. At f2.0, it is very sharp.

@ f1.4 focus on "L" on Wilson. Slight front focus on "1" but was spot on after calibration by Sigma.

@ f2.0 focus on right eye.
