Guys need your help.. My buddy helped me, to buy a brand new lens from hk... 4/3 mount..

Auto focus not working at all with my Oly E30..(ring not moving at all) Tried all setting..... C-AF/S-AF/ect...... all not working
Lens is set to AF mode...

No testing was done in the shop.. Could the lens be damaged or i am missing something... Pls help.. Thank you

Have you try re-mount it again? Perhaps it's not connected probably...

I have no problem mounting the 30mm f1.4 on my E-3...but as stated in the manual...you need to set lens - AF mode and your body to full AF as well.

Yah did that a few times... still the same.. Called our Sigma for solution but they are asking me to bring it down to take a look..

Hi guys.. Went to sigma agent yesterday and the technician took only 3 mins to solve the AF problem???????????????
He came out with the lens and said the AF is perfect and true enough it was ok.
I am sure he did something inside the room...(knock knock!!!!!!!!!)

Great lens, did some shoot at Yishun Dam.. If can will post here...

i got mine for $580, paid with credit card, from Tin Cheung Camera Company... my friend helped me get and didn't even bother to claim tax refund... but this was in 2007...

Mine comes with international warranty.. got a free calibration done at sigma agent with that warranty...

Depends on how you feel, if you feel paying for it at abt $760 is ok... i'll rather pay $620-$640 buying from abroad.

just weigh the pros & cons loh...

If buy in sg, u get 3 yrs warranty + can test / choose lens first hand but you end up paying a premium

If buy overseas then you're getting a better deal while forgoing some priviledges

Alternatively, buy 2nd hand local set. while you get to enjoy the remaining warranty, you also get to test the lens and of course, getting a cheaper than mkt price.
