Grey sets do not have the local agent warranty coverage. But the shops will give their own in house warranty. I am not sure if the in house warranty covers any calibration charges.

The price difference between grey and local set is probably about $200+/-. There is 1 time (possibly 2) free calibration if under warranty for local sets by agent if im not wrong. Otherwise, you will be charged $80; treated as out of warranty.

hth

iirc, there are 2 free calibration as long under warranty.. for non-local set and out of warranty, its $150 per calibration..

anybody knows warranty from technogadget covers calibration..? i hope so cos if af got problem consider as manufacture defect, right..?

Great camera. Simply love this... But quite soft at focus...

I hv searched n read tru the guide to buying used lens... Im have tis qst wich i cant seem to find an answer.
Im considering to buy a used lens... So is it ok if the lens is abt 2 - 3 yrs old, assuming its in very good condition n good working order? Is there a lifespan for cameras? Is there any implications of buying such lenses as warranty has expired? Thanks in advance

Age of the lens does not mater as long as it is duly functional with no dents or dings. Optics MUST be clear and haze free and fungus free. Go read up on how to check. AF motor(if any) must be working. Life span of bodies are measured in terms of he number of shutter actuations

Not that hard. For shutter count u need to bring a Lappy to check. U also need opanda. Better familiarize yourself with it before bringing it the and look like a complete fool. Age don't really matter as many of the more senior CSers are using lenses perhaps more than 10 years old

Just trust your gut and be extremely thorough. Check every thing

I dont tink i will go into such details like using lappy to check shutter count..
Anyways thanks for ur guide...rili deciding btw buying a brand new or used....although the price difference is abt 150bux
