Sightings of the new NEX 7

Not sure whether one can be sued for selling something more expensive than elsewhere. Willing buyer, willing seller. So long as there is no misrepresentation by seller, buyer has no case.

if everything sounds so easy (suing part) ...we will less reports on Sim Lim Square case.

u just gave yourself the answer whether suing someone for selling at a higher price is possible. well, it IS possible. lawyers can fight on any grounds to prove that you're guilty, even if you aren't.

other than that, you have to calculate labor costs, shipping costs, taxes, manufacturing, depreciation of machinery, and advertising fees among others. and of course, you need to push up the price a little if not, you won't have a profit. does that answer your question?

but that is just going off topic

No sure how you read my post. anyway in relation to what you stated, I can charged handling fees too. My time & parking charges to collect the NEX 7 from shop cost money too, storage in my dry box , space & electricity,$$. those are above the buying price of the camera.

Price made known. Buyer agrees and pays in return for the goods.
if you do read newspapers, You will know there is no case for above.

Anyone can sue anyone for any reason under civil lawsuit if you have the money.
But you must know, suing someone does not make the other party guilty. Also, sending a lawyer letters does not mean you are in the right,it just means you have the money or you have lawyer friend.
It's up to the judge to decide base on evident submitted & presentation in court.

But of course if you are saying all the above just so that you can have the last say.okay lah. you win. Can?

Now lets all get back to clicking shutter & talk about NEX 7. :)

Anyone modified their NEX-7 strap to have quick release? I like to use my Blackrapid strap but the wife likes the original

nope. i didn't argue to win. i argue to make facts known.

for the layman who doesn't know business. or twist the facts of what can be done in the name of "law".

and btw... that doesn't make sense in the business world for you to justify selling stuff at that price because of that FYI... given the circumstances.. of your position and the business' position.

too much OT. but yea. just to prove a point.

Lol anyway I managed to get hold of a mint set. Thanks anyway.

Anyway there are quite a few sets of Nex 7 in the market place right now for a decent price. Since I posted my WTB. Probably all impulses buys :) Nex 7 is indeed sweet!

as mentioned by the bros around the forum, your plan is foiled because they ARE bringing in stock.

those who want to profit from dishonest gains will not only be frowned upon, the guy who buys it will get upset and you know what... he can bring a case against you in the Subordinate Courts for profiteering from selling at that price.

you sure you wanna go ahead with this?

Lol. Please borrow some books from the library and read up on Singapore law. Seriously, what dishonest gains? Seller quote one price, buyer agree and the agreement is seal. If buyer later on found someone selling at a lower price, he only got himself to blame for not checking prices around.

One bottle of green tea differ from NTUC to cold storage to seng song. Are you gonna sue cold storage for selling 20 cents more?

just came back after getting 1 x NEX-7K, SGD 1999.00, free 16GB MS, screen protector, free course

was told by the sales guy, limited stock and collect at lucky centre on 15th March, then went to pay and the cashier after transaction as me to go behind and collect and i went and the guy picked out 1 and gave to me,

guess the temp staff are blur blur,

happy with my new toy, will try it out, using previous spare battery from Nex5, kept the spare battery i bought,

but the base leather which give you better grip for nex5 does not fit the nex7, nex7 size bigger,

also the lcd hard cover for the nex 5 cannot fix the nex 7,

if you want to buy, think you can rush down now as i heard 50 sets only and maybe new stock will come on 15th march

Guess no point bringing up off topic issues. Both of them were probably teasing each other off with no hard feelings .

Congrats. I assume you bought your camera at IT Show ?

I am amused reading thru the thread.

I don't think there is any issue selling at premium to rrp whether from shops of outside.

Rolex watches, when a model is newly launched, authorized dealers sell them at premium to rrp. People will still buy them and this is common practice. Outside of shops, its a deal between buyer and seller. Unless seller misrepresent in any way, a higher price than rrp should not be issue.

pre-ordered today @ IT Show, Sony booth, the guy said can collect the camera on tuesday @ Lucky Centre.. sweeeeeet!!!!!

Hi,

I have mounted M or LTM lenses on my Nex-7 since I bought it more than 2 weeks ago. It seems like my Voigtlander VM adapter is the permanent part of Nex-7 :bsmilie:

Here is the attachment with one of the smallest 35mm M-mount lens on Nex-7:

Cheers!

Me too. Using the 35/2 lens on it. Still trying to get used to the focus peaking. :) enjoying this so far!

And here is my favorite lens - the beast of 50mm lenses - f0.95 Noct. ;p

Cheers!

I went to the IT show yesterday. $1999 with the black kits lens. And the freebies. Did not know they had stock there and then...sigh.

nex 7, it is really great...

For RF shooters, Apart from FF for the m9, i really can't see any reason to get RF over this! (apart from ostentatious factor).

The EVF with peaking for manual focusing is really better than i expected, and tri navi system just plain rocks.
