I found that when the flash is set to FP-TTL mode, the light it cast is very soft and does not cast harsh shadows even if it is a direct flash as could be seen from these 2 pics.
 

Haven't share my photos in a while, here is one taken in Lombok Indonesia.

 

With all this good quality, why would u still buy ff dslr? M4/3 is up there alrdy ;)
