I didn't understand this. Digi scoped??

if i'm not wrong, digiscope refers to shooting through a spotting scope. basically you attach a camera to a spotting scope and shoot. hence the 4km distance

Found this Gem : Voigtländer 75mm Heliar Classic f/1.8 , just realized it's one of the very few lenses that received a decent review by the otherwise Voigtländer-basher Ken Rockwell.
Took it out for the first time On Saturday during PC show 2012, all taken using OM-D EM-5, out of camera Jpeg no Modification.

Will take & share more photos in future, but for now, check out the Bokeh-licious quality of this wonderful Lens! Makes me wonder if the new Olympus 75mm can match/ be better than this...

Using a Nikon Field Scope, and shooting through with OMD with 12-50mm in Macro mode. The object cannot be seen with the naked eye and with the field scope (48-60x magnification) pulls the image in. I normally use the field scope for shooting (checking target) but since it was a sunny day, I used it for digiscoping instead. It worked quite well. Now I intend to get a strong tripod for this. And a proper mounting system if available.

care to show us a pic on how this is done, a pic is better than thousands words.

I thought usually you attach the camera body directly?

The Olympus one has a max. aperture of 2.8, not 1.8...
