Thanks for viewing. Glad you liked them. Here's a couple more from the EP3 and Leica 45mm f/2.8 macro...

And this was taken with the Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 SWD on the EP3 with the help of a Four Thirds adapter of course...

How is the AF speed of the 45/2.8 on the EP3? I'm still in two minds about whether AF for macro is a good idea...

Not as fast as with the new kit lens, slightly slower than with the 25mm f/1.4 but very, very fast compared to the Four Third 50mm f/2.0 Macro. I find it quite impractical to use manual focus with this or any other macro lens for moving subjects or subjects that could move as there are too many rotations of the focusing barrel to turn compared to a normal lens. If one has a lot of time and patience and is shooting inanimate subjects on a tripod, then maybe manual focusing could be OK.

I basically am only shooting inanimate objects on a tripod :) That's why I'm in two minds. It's clear to me this is the better choice over the 50 f/2, but I'm not sure whether it's better over other manual focus lenses. BTW, how much working distance do you have with this? With my OM 50 / 3.5 + ex25 for 1:1, I'm basically 5cm from the object, it's really difficult sometimes. I'm guessing this is about the same?

tested this Leica 45mm F2.8 in one of the local shop, really impressive close up shots. i think this is a must get lens for m43.
