Having fun with your new toy :-)

All with E-PL1 + Zeiss 50mm f/1.4, ISO 800-1600, f/2 to 2.8
All with Noise Filter Off, I prefer to filter off high ISO noise in pp

Here is The Esplanade, in Diorama *lol*

Some fun with a legacy lens - Leica R Elmarit 90mm

Somehow feel that Leica's R lenses work better on m43 than M lenses. Anyone else compared before?

Nice ... compared 50mm Summicrons, last R lens version has slightly higher resolution than latest M, but M has a more classic tone. Matter of taste, I like both, but tend towards the M. On the other hand, if I didn't have the M lenses already, I would get the R instead, much much cheaper, tone can still be pp'ed.

In my conversation with someone who has tried most of them, he also concurred regarding resolution, and his Leica supplier said it's due to the bigger size of the R, etc., wasn't really interested in the explanation at that time.

Got a M Elmarit 90mm today. I'm keeping this one; the R is just too heavy ;)

Thanks! Although disproportionate to the EP1 body, I'm really enjoying the lens =]

Btw, how's the AF of this lens on the PEN? Does the SWD drive system speed things up a little?

the AF is still a pain for the pen, hahaha

the subjects just hv to be as patient as the photographer ;)

I am still struggling with the Kern focus ring and screws needed to tighten it when I reach home coz when the screws are loose cant focus the lens properly

Hi

A request for samples from M mount lenses like Leica 50mm f2, Voigtlander 35mm f1.4 and 50mm f1.1.

If you have any of these lenses, please post some images especially portraits ones, thanks!

Edit: and Zeiss 50mm f2 :)
