Show us your Pentax - Season II

wow!
your quotation marks should be on 'a few' :bsmilie:

Few... :kok:

Surely if you don't like more 'normals'
You'd want some 85's

I never expected to collect any series, but eventually seemed to have ended up with almost all the more 'mainstream' Pentax 85mms optical designs (ie. mainstream meaning not 'soft'; not Ultra-Achromatic)
The K85/1.8 is supposed to be the same optical formula with the 1970 SMC Takumar 85/1.8
The Super Takumar 85/1.9 is the same optical formula as the 1960 Auto Takumar 85/1.8 (but slower)

What's lacking is the very rare Takumar 83/1.9 and the A*85/1.4
Won't go for the A*, but the Takumar 83 interests me.....

Everyone should really have a few 'normals' :D

Looking at your 50's and 85's collection, I found out that I don't have that much same ranges lenses as compared to you. I was thinking i'm too much replicate that I should down size my collection.

I only have the K85/1.8 and a Polar 135/2.8

Vivitar 85 f1.8 15 blades, samyang 85mm f1.4, mitakon 85mm f2, Helios 40-2 85mm f1.5? ;)

Corrupting everyone at the end of 2013 , so that they can be infected with BBB virus beginning 2014.

Everyone have different objectives/reasons for keeping the lenses they keep.
So seeing same FL lenses as 'duplicates' is reasonable too.

The thing is that I did not go out with the intention of collecting any such 'series'.
Unlike some guys who set to collect all 'A' all LTD; all FA*, etc
I just got each lens as they came along.

Samyang 85/1.4 does not interest me.
Frankly (and I may sound offending saying this, but its just my preference), I've never found a 'character' or an extra 'oomph' from the many images I've seen taken with it.
Yes, its shallow DOF, f1.4, smooth bokeh, but that all that it is to me. (mho) (its easy entry price also makes adds to why many extol its virtures, imo)
I thought of getting it on various mounts, but in the end, I always passed it over as I bought with my heart instead.

The ones that most interest me now (other than the Takumar 83/1.9) are the Biotar, Priomoplan and Pancolar :D
(but the former 2 are just too expensive and risky on ebay)

what about mitakon 85 hahahah, seems not bad also if can get silver

I like the look of that lens actually.. Haha! It's quite sexy... Almost similar to the FAs in design...

K1000 with 18135. Looks like E-M1/E-M5 hehe

Wow! Yamasaki! This is a nice lens! Initially I wanted to buy this lens. But I can't get it. So, I end up chosen the heavy DA* 16-50.
