Actually, a Leica body is not that expensive today. You can get a very good condition IIIf with a collaspable lens for less than SGD800.

A M body with some flaws will prob cost you about SGD1K. But still good enough to fire and use.

Comparing with digital gears, depreciation of these classics are really low or even non existence. Sometimes film gears even appreciate in value.

This beautiful IIIF and lens were taken from ebay, plus a complete overhual with new russian curtain, total was less than S$800. Plus some dressings - VC meter, designer's strap and leather casing... the price now is priceless.
