Here's my humble IIIc of 1946 vintage.

That's a nice IIIc. If it's really of 1946 vintage, it might have a really nice story to tell If my research is correct, that is about the time Leica resumed full operations after the war. Leitz was under the US sector and the cameras made went directly to the American exchange, I believe none were exported for sale then(I stand corrected). Leicas were hard to come by all around the world except for the secondary markets.

Oi! I have my M6 with me at my work desk in front of my computer screen...when the picture came on I had to shield it's eyes from this horrible horrible sight. No doubt it will be having nightmares tonight.
