Juz can't show the serial no. In case some DuaPao claims that it is that BP M3 that he lost in Tibet 50 years ago then how? :bsmilie:

Huh? What outshine? Of course my M4 is not even that big a deal and there'll be many more valuable Leicas around. Hence, the thread.
Still trying to fish out nicer collections from owners here. Heh heh...
I only touched a M3 BP last evening down at Camera Workshop for the first time. Really unforgettable experience.
But that was a re-painted one. nicely done though. The TA winder is awesome:thumbsup:
OTOH, I suspect that some of the nicer collections are with those who don't surf net (some don't even speak/read English). I personally know of an old man who has two unopened (still with original Leitz plastic wrapping) 3-lug chrome M5 with running serial no. Rare enough to go for live auction. Too bad, I'm not his relative.

I thought this thread was meant more to show Leicas used by Leica users here ... looks like it's changing to be part of a collection instead :think:
And yes, cocoa, I suspect the same, I have some friends who can't be bothered indeed, like they ask me "what Clubsnap ?", "what rangefinder forum ?" - it's like saying "what is an internet ?". Many of them have many dry-boxes for many beautiful cameras, gold, silver, etc. That's where I got my like new Hasselblad and Leica M6. I tried to ask for their rare (or expensive) ones, and they told me not to bother, since I am a user, not a collector/user like them, they think it's ridiculous for me to go out shooting with a gold Hassy or Leica ...
They do know their stuff, though, learned a lot from them too ... but they're clueless on digital ...

Well, most of the cameras shown here are Owners' Leicas with the exception of 1 or 2 Ji Siao people. :nono:
But it's OK. Camera porn is always nice.
This thread will also let viewers know who has what which leads them to ask relavent questions on the specific gear.
So far, I don't feel that it has turned into a 'Show Off' thread. Definitely prideful but no obnoxious behaivour so far.

Hi Alvin, I've been around, just not posting much these days. Doing fine, seem to be travelling even more than usual these days. And I've definitely eased back on my camera purchases, something my wife appreciates a lot.
