This is my setup for 21mm "up close in your face" shooting. I learnt from BRad Pitt yesterday at the Zoo. Basically, go F8 hyperfocus 1m to infinity, then just go up close a la Bruce Gilden, compose and whack. Just need to bear in mind the 1m distance and shutter speed. 21mm can go very very close. I cannot afford superfast 21mm like Summilux or Elmarit, so I got Zeiss Biogon F2.8.

How is the distortion like with the 21mm at close up?

Just in case anyone is wondering, they are NOT mine. They belong to someone who may potentially open a Leica specialty shop.

quite obvious. But in street photography, the distortion is not always bad. Depends on positioning of subject. whereas in wedding photography, any distortion is surely bad wan

I guess it doesn't matter if the subject is at the center, rather than on the corners.

Wasn't looking for it actively, but am surprised to find a mint copy in Triangle. Love it!!! Now, I can shoot 35mm lenses on my IIIG while keeping the set compact!

WOW....the ULTIMATE "POCKET ROCKET".......will look even better on a black lacquered Leica II BARNACK...

Did you remove the M-mount yourself...care to share how you achieve the RF calibration without sending it back to MS-Optical? Base on some shimming the mount using stickers?

Tried it on a Leica III...need to unscrew the little focusing knob to screw in the lens...a Leica II without the the slow speed knob will be perfect...
