Can't afford the BP 35 Summicron ASPH, so here's my solution. Konica Hexanon UC 35 f2.0 Blackpaint. Niffty little fellow. About the same size and IQ as the 35 cron Bokeh King. It's LTM though, so only 0.9m focusing.

Nice Hexanon UC 35 f2 bro!

not many has the luxury to afford the BP 35 cron asph as a hobby but there's definitely numerous alternate solutions! one being the Hexar AF Hexanon 35mm f2... comes with free body, to boot! haha... :bsmilie: :p

Sorry Mod if this is slightly OT... my humble apologies!

No, it's not :)

It's more like the LTM Nikkor 35f1.8 design. Read more Here.

Good lens for d price.

Sorry, where in the article does it say it's not similar to the bokeh king and more like Nikkor 35 f1.8? :-)

The version before the UC Hexanon is the one that takes after the Nikkor 35mm F1.8

The UC is an almost different design from its first version.

After the UC came the 35mm F2 Hexanon KM mount, that on is a completely re-designed glass as well

Nevertheless all excellent glasses but not many people are willing to pay the high price for them or are just blinded by the Leica offerings.......

UC is a nice solid heavy brass lens with tab & black paint as well

Just look at these lens diagrams:

W-NIKKOR 35/1.8

UC_HEXANON.jpg

UC-HEXANON

The above two diagrams are shown in Dante Stella's article. The UC-HEX is a variant of the W-NIKKOR's formula.

Now look at summicron v4 (aka Bokeh King)'s diagram:

summicron_v4.jpg

This is an improved Double-Gauss formula. While they do have some similarities, the design of the rear group are clearly different.

Anyway...they are all more than good enough for bokeh lovers I suppose :bsmilie:
