So you were the one who ended up with this.... I was tempted but....

Anyway, this lens was sold only with the Canon P and for a very short time. Hence it's very rare and often sought after by collectors. Most other shooters shun it thinking that a faster aperture is more desirable. As a day lens, this lens is great.

Enjoy your lens. And if you change your mind about keeping it, let me know. A mint copy can command more than a 50mm f/1.4 or even 50mm f/1.2.

Cheers,

Haha thanks Benny for the advice...so happened i was pming david murphy from rff...n he told me its worth..so i just buy it. Yup pretty mint except slight cleaning marks on front elements...shooting now in Japan, Kyoto with it...:)

I realised jap love pentax alot...so far i saw a lot of pentax slr user and medium format user

Probably the only reason why Pentax is surviving as a company, though worth 150USD million.

There must be a reason for it..but ..ermm lets not go into it...hehe....later GAS again
definitely a smarter choice since leica prices etc went up so high...but shooting film here in Jap is not cheap...the price at yodabashi makes ppl feel like shooting digital..

If you think film in Japan is expensive, you'd better stay away from Australia or Europe! Film is crazy expensive there.

Hope you're enjoying your trip :)

Indeed. In my home town in France, a roll of E6 cost about EUR15 and takes 3 to 4 weeks to be processed!
