my very first attempt on shooting butterflies. I am not really into nature macro shooting. just that I thought i try shooting some since i am on a outdoor trip with some friends

hand-held shot with no filters or extenders used. just a plan old canon ef100 f2.8 macro lens

Lacewing laying eggs

The butterfly was laying eggs at Hortpark garden.
I think it is a Leopard Lacewing but not very sure. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, that is female of Cethosia cyane (Leopard Lacewing) ovipositing on the hostplant Passiflora foetida.
