Normally where did you found those butterflies?

Thank you for the kind words!

Most of the shots taken here are either from Central Catchment Area or the urban parks of Singapore. Some are taken in Peninsula Malaya.

For local park , AHBT and Pulau Ubin Butterfly Hill are the hot spots . The best way to start off is to visit ButterflyCircle Forum and join some of the members who are out shooting on most weekend .

A small article on Butterfly Stalking and Shooting might be of help for newbies into this genre of photography.

was around S.Spa yesterday... when I spotted this Malay Lacewing flowering...
had a glimpse of the Harlequine too... but it just keep hopping and hopping... SAD!!!!

Yes I routinely use hight ISO when the situation calls for it . In this case, it was the strong wind that forced me to select ISO 1000 to get a higher shutter speed to freeze the fluttering tails.

I much prefer to use lower ISO when possible, here is another shot a ISO 320 when there was a slight lull in the wind .
