Thanks again. The wait WAS quite long: about 2 weeks from small to last stage of caterpillar then pupa. After that about ten days before eclosion.
Sorry, I know this is not a butterfly forum, but how do you tell it's a female? Another one actually 'hatched' the day before (shown below - male? female?). Maybe PM me since this is strictly a photography forum. Apologies to rest for off topic.

But here are more pics of the other butterfly that eclosed indoors then was brought outside. I had missed the actual 'moment' for this one.

It is okie ! Your second Lime is a male and thanks for releasing back into the wild!

A picture worths a 1000 words, here is the distinguishing marking difference between a male and female of the Lime butterfly.
