Here is an update on Butterfly Conservation Project by ButterflyCircle : Saving the Harlequin.

Saving The Harlequin

These two individuals could very well be the last generation of the recently rediscovered Harlequin in the wild.

Since its discovery last year ButterflyCircle has initiated a conservation plan for this eventuality , the ongoing conservation project has been thrust into high gear when we discovered leveling of their habitat last week.

We hope in our small way we can get them to propagate in another locality for future generation of Singaporeans to admire.

Hi HarishSegar,

Perhaps you can checkout ButterflyCircle on the various " hotspots "

As suggested by cantaresg, perhaps Alexandra Hospital Butterfly Trail (AHBT) will be a good spots.

If you prefer more challenging setting then perhaps try MacRitchie Nature Trail (MNT) or Pulau Ubin Sensory Trial would be the alternatives.

Cheers!

Bob ,

Thanks for dropping and the contribution to this thread!

Hope to see more of your shots.

CM ,

Nice series from your kampong up north!

My pick is #1 The Clipper , excellent enough to hang on your wall!

Keep posting!

Outlook,

Nice and artistic composition on the Phalanta phalantha phalantha (Leopard).

It is not an easy butterfly to shoot , it is always on the move and seldom rest.

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

Very few shots from me for the last 2 weeks, as I have been putting most of my time on the Save the Harlequin Project .

This is likely to take up much of my time in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you all for sharing your butterfly shots and keep this thread alive.

:cheers!
