Lovely camera and lens, though adjusting aperture and focusing with gloves is a $%&*%^*&%.

Nice... I used to have the R too...

As for focusing in the cold, I usually do it barehanded even in the cold. Take the shot then put my hands back into my pockets or glove.

Oh btw, what film were u using?

@cactusjack: it was my first roll of the film, was using the superia 400 regularly but decided to try something else

Ermmm the film itself says Kodak Supra 400. Im not sure. A friend gave a couple to me a year ago. Its beautiful isnt it?

a little unfair to judge the e46 pre-asph because of the limitation of the ltm's 1m min focusing... the usual m-mounts are also 0.7m. but i too agree that the 30cm makes a difference... at least to me ;)
