CactusJack: the trees in the background were swaying and it produced that effect. :)

I find it damn hard to hold an RF cam in portrait mode, had quite alot of slanted pictures in portrait :cry:

need to try harder :embrass:

i almost always shoot landscape with rf, avoiding the issue slants in portait orientation... but at leas this one turned out pretty well. but looks slightly under, did you compensate for the brilliant white gown?

er, what you mean by compensate for the gown ah? Not really sure.

were you using an external meter or camera meter? if camera meter, it is centre weighted (spare the technical details)... the white gown can "fool" the camera to thinking that it is brighter than it actually is, and would therefore shoot at a faster shutter speed. but this would typically result in the gown being pretty well metered, while the face and others are left a little underexposed.

to compensate, if you know that the gown takes up a large part of the frame (esp the centre), is to +0.5EV to +1EV, so that the camera would then compensate for more light by slow the shutter speed a little to hopefully get the face etc well metered.
