I agree with Ansel, that flower shot is great, well-composed, good background with earthy color ...

Nice to know you are enjoying MF, welcome to the fold :)

Well, thanks for visiting, Halcyon.

I definitely love MF as a medium and is my main preference, and will continue to use it as long as there is film. On the other hand, I recognize that it is just one medium, I am also open to anything, as I have seen some superb Flickr pictures taken with a simple digital compact like a Leica D-Lux3 or Ricoh, pinhole cameras, etc. Many, of course, can be simulated in PP, another skill to learn ... the ideas are endless, limited only by one's imagination ...

Flickr has been a source inspiration to me too, it really makes one try to raise the bar further on one's own work. In the words of one of my favorite artists on Flickr, Gary Isaac, during an email communication, to quote - "past the technique and the processing and the scratching etc. it really is for me about the present and implied story ..."

Of course it belongs, still MF.

I have 12 MF shots from the toy camera Holga 120N myself, haven't had time to work on it yet, though ...

>> halcy0n, I used a ND3 graduated filter. Metering was base on sunny 16 rule. :D
>> Ansel, thanks for comments!

Boochap: 1st 2 picts are interesting to look at.

Fuji Astia 120 film, one of the slides I like (ASA 100) ... However, I also like the Provia 400X 120 with a ND or polarizer filter as an alternative to get down to the ISO 100 of the Astia (when light is good and no Astia anywhere).

Here's a sample shot with Astia on a Hassy, of course some slight variations may occur depending on scanning - Astia colors - including slight wash-out reds, not the film's fault of course :). Not much processing, just used one-click default Adobe lightroom Tone Curve.
