Iran is one of the most wonderful country I had visited. Hasselblad camera....boo beh zhao!!!

excellent photos boochap!

Here are some of mine from our little island. Was testing out my new toy, a Mamiya 6 RF. Excellent system really, the only fault is inherent in the nature of rangefinders...

Strange things happen shooting street in Singapore... one minute I can get cosy with someone and get a posed shot (4th image), next moment I'm scolded for "not asking permission" to photograph a trishaw in public space (1 min after 3rd image was taken).

Thanks..I like the trisaw. What film?

You must show me your Mamiya 6 one day.. may be we could have a MF gathering soon to display all our MF cameras??

Singaporean doesn't like to be photographed... which is why i seldom like to weekend streetphoto. i have seen many people hidding one corner and shoot secretly with big tele.. shooting gals and old ppl. I don't like it this way, i thought tt's rude. ask permission 1st if u wanna shot ppl, or u shot in open and dun hide yourself away.

Hi Enivre

Can you enlighten me on where you got your Mamiya 6 from? I've been looking to buy one in sg (2nd hand, of course) but nobody seems to be selling it. Posted in CS marketplace, and didn't get a response either. Only place I see selling one's Ebay, and they're pricey there.

Maybe PM me? Thanks.

BTW you got the 75mm? Looks like one.

Nizz

It's Ilford FP4+, I just shot another roll of Neopan Acros 100, should be even finer grain.. :)

I seldom shoot people, I don't like to. I prefer inanimate stuff like buildings and landscapes. Just so happened these guys were quite far away in the background and I figured it won't be a problem to include him in the photo since it'll be OOF anyways.

Bro Nizz, as for the Mamiya 6 I got it 2nd hand from someone who approached me directly. I have all 3 lenses, the 50, 75 and 150. All are excellent excellent lenses, but the 150 is quite hard to focus coz of the rangefinder issue (pic 1 is 150mm). Got a pretty damn good deal out of them too. :) Ebay I believe the whole kit goes for USD$2500+.

Eh....read your reply in the rangefinder thread first before reading this. Yup....2.5k USD is almost vulgar. The output fr the glasses seem excellent, based on the photos you've put up.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the photos and the info on the fact that you got an absolute bargain on a camera that doesn't come by often. I think I just passed green and turning purple right about now....

Forgive my bicycle fetish!

Here are more pics, once again shot on the Mamiya 6 RF but these were with Fuji Neopan Acros 100. This roll was meant just to test the Acros.

I love Fuji's Neopan 400, now that I've gotten my hands on Neopan Acros 100 there's no turning back anymore! Developed with Perceptol.

Here's a crop of the last pic.

The grain of this film is so fine I can hardly see it even under a loupe!

I see you are practicing your "ask before shooting" policy?

Didnt really ask "can i shoot?".. i raise up my camera to signal. he simile, i bang. depend on situations, sometime i set up my tripod.

Love the photos boochap. Keep them coming.

BTW do you use a metering finder on your 503 ?

Thanks.. second look, i think my old man shot was slightly overburnt around the left hand side, which is supposed to be brighter as the light is coming from that direction. :o

I am using the normal WF with a hand held Gossen meter.
