The person who takes it plays a part as well...the lighting control etc..haha..i can imagine how many times the meter is used per frame...
By the way, for slides, the exposure shld be accurate right? or is there a need to over expose by +1ve?
Slides have a small exposure latitude, so you need to watch the higlights clip.
Under-exposing as reasonable zones is acceptable as long as you know how much shadows you are metering for...

lol metered once per frame la.. slides are very fussy to expose.. for closeups I normally take an incident reading, seems to be pretty spot on..
landscapes will have to take a reflective reading and decide on exposure based on zone system.. still working on my exposure selections for the latter, as they usually result in under-exposure..
