The person who takes it plays a part as well...the lighting control etc..haha..i can imagine how many times the meter is used per frame...

By the way, for slides, the exposure shld be accurate right? or is there a need to over expose by +1ve?

Slides have a small exposure latitude, so you need to watch the higlights clip.
Under-exposing as reasonable zones is acceptable as long as you know how much shadows you are metering for...

Hi neoro do you know what is the acceptable range? Let's say if i shoot based on exact exposure...that would be the safest right? The reason im asking is, i often notice ppl shoot w a +ev1 or -ev1...

tks mate, the cherry tarts really are as good as they look.. haha..

lol metered once per frame la.. slides are very fussy to expose.. for closeups I normally take an incident reading, seems to be pretty spot on..

landscapes will have to take a reflective reading and decide on exposure based on zone system.. still working on my exposure selections for the latter, as they usually result in under-exposure..

Guess i need to experience the film myself...just load 1 roll into my mamiya...guess its my turn to use a meter to check exposure...haha

I used to shoot macro and landscapes,
during those hours, the difference in stops are around 3-4max so I'm covered.
SOmetimes I do get images under/over exposed, but too many factors that may contribute to that - Shutter, chemicals etc - I normally under 3/4 stop - Incident meter - On the Gossen Luna Pro F !

fore reversal film, measure with a 18% gray card, Exposure value + 2 1/3 stop is your highlight point and - 3 stop is your shadow point.

Yum,... I would love this nicely washed and fried to go along with my nasi lemak.

Yes, I did say wash, so that you will remove most of the salt that comes with it. A good ikan bilis is one that is not too salty. Good to rinse it once or twice before throwing it in for deep fry.
