SGTrekker's 7D6N Sri Lanka Vesak Day Photography Tour (13th - 19th May 2011)

I wanted to take from this angle but was too lazy to walk over there. Now I see it, I regret and repent. Good photo journalism! The preacher surely knows to create poise and uphold his standing is to sit sideway facing the audience instead of Abraham Lincoln style.

And all the 3 portraits do depict emotions !
Divinemoment - Kiam Sia.. Thanks for Comments... this word "repent" sound very different recently.. used quite often recently.. I wonder why.. hahahahaaa... Dont think you miss much.. all done in shaded area.. I could only highlight a subject using selective saturation.. if you look closely.. I miss one toe.. hehhee...

I also like the middle portrait quite a bit.. Thanks again..

I like this one, very nice.
This one also.
SK.. Kiam Sia.. thanks for leaving some comments....

Divinemoment & me talk about doing LE this trip.. but I chicken out after day1 (tooo SUNNY LA.. only do LE during sunset).. whereas Divinemement persisted ... you can see his results/rewards in the pics.. whereas I lazy after first day..

What can I say, my friend?

Thanks and glad you liked it. At least some confirmation I'm not churning out some weird image. Compositional wise still not perfect as I prefer the sail to skew more to the left. But this the only pic I have with flowing water skimming in tandem with the boat

Your second 'backyard' shot is nice :)
Hello SK, long time no see and I didn't realised your Tibet trip took almost 2 weeks. Thanks, appreciate your comments.

BIG  I Like
Thanks ClenC. My personal preference is pic A.

Glad you got the shots you went to Sri Lanka for. Sailing boats have always been an evocative subject as their images present a walk back into the past. Thanks very much for these.
You processed them into black and white? Ada "style".

Here is the one pp away Colin, thanks to Clement ;)

NLeong - I take offence la - WHAT Butchers.. they are known as Fishmongers la...... I was once part-time fishmonger la...

Nice.. finally see your BOATS.. see different POV.. nice, look at the strong waves... UNLUCKILY didn't join Adrian.. else would have JUMP & SET SAIL ON ONE OF THIOSE BOATS...

Clement,

WH,

nleong - joke..joke..only.. not sorry la
divinemoment - me, my england not powderful la.. NO, adrian didnt go this time - we all arrived after sunset.. all the fisherman resting and enjoying the sunset - BUT I guess we will see Adrian in his G-string and on a boat on their future trips to Sri-Lanka (participants - DO remember to capture that shot and post in CS).

Day 02
Ancident city of Anuradhapura - Ruwanweliseya Dagaba.

A shot that works for me.. I dont know why, I told nleong that I like this when I capture and now I still like this, dont know why?.. maybe it is the line of the dagaba that leads to the monk, maybe it is the fingers posture of the monk.. at least it works for me.. any C&C here would be appreciated?.. do point out why it doesn't work for you, too much distortion?..
