Serene... all those photography trips have given you a VERY, VERY Big and strong RIGHT ARM!!!... or is it due to all the soups you prepared for Wee How that resulted in this big, strong right arm?...
Yo ClemC, given a big strong arm?! Oh no, I don't want! I don't want to end up having that big ugly thing below.
Haha.:bsmilie:

I don't see in Singapore they use this stone to grind and mixe all the ingredient but this is how they done.

But it come out taste nice. This is my appetizer before our late lunch

Looks like another fun filled trip :)

When you first walk into the village and see all the rubbish surrounding them, you feel a bit disgusted at the surroundings and sorry for the residents. You wonder what kind of life they lead and why they allow this. However when you see the children and how happy, carefree and innocent they are it really brightens up the place.

Tanjong Uma

Walking along Tanjong Uma felt like being transformed to a little village of the 60's-70's... a feeling that hasn't been felt for the longest time.
The wooden houses with zinc roof, the painted planks, the shops... the people. Everything was as if time stood still for us.

Hmmm... the road side stall selling don't know what food...

270880_241743395836054_100000011850955_1053025_2881904_n.jpg

... selling dried ration and groceries...

... a scene from the old days...

... and we were a little taken aback to see so much rubbish strewn all over the bed of the delta lying just below the houses on stilts, when the tides were out.
We were wondering, how did the villager live with all these mess around them?
Nleong commented on my FB rightly that (despite the heaps of rubbish) the garbage didn't smell at all... haha...

Lunch at Nagoya Hill

Tanjong Uma was really fun. And it was eye-opening too.
But it was truly a hot hot day. And we all couldn't wait to enjoy a respite from the heat by soaking ourselves in the air-con of Nagoya Hill Centre where we had Ayam Penyet and local fares for lunch...
These were the photos from Group 1. Group 2, I think by this time, were already waiting at the hotel for us already...

... after lunch, off to Belakang Padang...

Our next destination was another fishing village.
Now the interesting thing about this fishing village was that it was off the main Batam island, and we had to take a motorised sampan from Sekupang Jetty off the north-west coast of Batam island to this small little island. We would arrive at this island called Pulau Penawar Rindu, to walk a short little distance to this even smaller fishing village at Belakand Padang to shoot a beautiful Batam sunset.

Here are Anthony and Anthony walking to Sekupang Jetty..

And Reservoir88 just couldn't wait to jump into the motorised sampan for a bumpity-bump ride across the straits...

Eh... it was another wet wet journey for the sea sprayed its droplets all over us and our equipment! Hahaha...
