Shooting fisherman throwing net in the sunset ~ at Belakang Padang fishing village
Sorry, these are my very minimally-processed 535nm IR photos, in their RAW form.
Please pardon my shots and the colours of the foliage. It's just the nature of this IR camera lah... haha.. sorry sorry.

... taking a nice stroll to the fishing village...
I simply cannot believe. Here we were, after having taken a ferry to another small island off Batam, just so that we can visit this out of the way fishing village.
We were walking up the road, looking left and looking right... soaking in the atmosphere of an old town feel.
Like someone said, it felt like from the 60's or the 70's.
I myself was surprised to find a Toa Pek Gong Temple smack right in the middle of this small town.
So there must be quite a Chinese community here.
We walked and walked and then, David and Calvin and Melvin turned left into a small lane.
I still remember our local guides David and Calvin speaking to each other in their native Teochew tongue that this was a very different trip, and Calvin was even on the handphone telling the other end that they are 'climbing mountain' at the Kampong. So cute.
We walked past a Muslim cemetery on our left side up a small knoll. Hmmm...rarely come so close to a Muslim cemetery.
Interestingly enough, just beside the Muslim cemetery was a Chinese cemetery. And at the foot of the hill, we found this trishaw.
Apparently, in typical SgTrekker style, we had been spending too much time stopping and shooting, instead of moving quickly to the fishing village.
Melvin came back and told us that it's not far ahead already and Adrian started saying that we got to pick up pace and move quickly to the fishing village
otherwise we would miss our sunset. Yes, after missing a few of SgTrekker's sunset on other SgTrekker trips, I think we'd better start running! Hahaha....
And here, we arrived at the very small little fishing village...
