SGTrekker 10D9N Everest Panorama Trek (17-26 March 2011)

Agree agree part 2 of the story on the make soon and I'll definitely join again hahahaha...once is never enough

And make sure you be careful of what you eat... don't follow me blindly on day 2 and eat all the rubbish that I ate!
Wahahahahaha....!

this is really nice, dkoron :thumbsup:

Yupe. This, my dear SARP member, is a real true blue Yak... something that can only be seen at 3000m and upwards.
Some more an albino Yak! Good catch, dkoron, good catch!

Campoes, the pleasure is mine.
I share the same sentiment. Over the past one week ever since returning from the mountains, my mind kept wandering back again, again and yet again to the rocky trails, the freezing cold night under the sleeping bag and blankets, the few days that I didn't shower but depended on powder baths, all the Chow Mein, all the hot ginger tea.... and I think my poisoned mind is starting to conjure an illusion of a much fitter me and SereneXMM who would be tough enough to take on EBC all the way.
It's crazy - like what Goose Goi said - start fascinating about EBC and ABC like that....
But somehow, like what vngks said, it would most likely come true... the Part 2 of the story.
Meanwhile - On with the story, my good SARP member!

I told you guys when you get back to Singapore, Nepal will forever linger in your mind... it's like an itch, that won't go away. I won't be surprised if Francis is already checking out the itinerary for other Nepal treks haha! Anyway, will be organising a Durian makan session soon for the Everest gang, so sorry for the delay as have been swamped with alot of backlog, not to mention reservist. We'll try to do something the weekend we get out? :)

Ok... I think that's it.
so many pics.... had to borrow amelia flickr account.. haha
Hope to see you guys at the makan session!
Take care!

Sherwin

Day 6: That Evening at Namche Bazaar...

It was a long day. For some, it was a 9 hours of walking, not including lunch time. For others, it was a slightly easier seven and a half hour of stroll in the park. But for all, it was a day best remembered for its unique sights and a climb best remembered for the unbeatable company.
Some of our members had already threw in their 250 rupee for the hot shower. A few of us had bought 130-rupees-per-bottle of ?boiled/?mineral water just so that we could hydrate ourselves after this long-haul day-trek. But most of us were simply happy to be sitting in the warmth of the dining hall waiting for our dinner... even a two hour wait was heavenly...

Hmmm... a quick glance around the hall quickly picked up some new symptoms...

... some joy and some sorrow...

... but preparation for the next morning's programme was already in progress. My hat's off to vngks for the unfailing determination! Acpical was his usual self. Dinosour was his usual self. But the one who was most deserving of a champion medal was none other than the champion himself - Francis Chia!

From Phakding to Namche...allow me to share some of my shots:

Sunset shot @ 1628 hrs. Thanks vngks for the tips of shooting & PP sun-ray. I'm not sure did I boost the contrast too much.
