Actually, having used both countless of times before, flare I've yet to encounter on both glasses. I think it's over hyped.

Nah, its depends on how you shoot mah. I mean if you are shooting against the sun in order to achieve certain silhouette effect, the flare on AFS 70-200 will be more obvious as compared to AFS 80-200. However, this will also depends on th F-stop you are using.

When you're back we go try try, because I use many times both glass don't flare as badly as the 17-35 against the sun, have quite a lot of shots taken in Japan with flare :sweat: even with hood on.
