28-135 for zha ba lang use ...
50 f1.8 for portrait
90/100 for macro
17-40 for landscape
70-200 portrait / nature / sports?
maybe get a 1.4x tc later on ...

That's the issue... you have no fixed area of focus. :) Thus you end up buying one for every type of use. :)

:embrass: not really getting all anyway .... the macro would be "depend on situation" .. but the 17-40 would be definite. 50 f1.8 i'm already using at the moment so is the 28-135 ...

try not to ba... most pp usually just fixed on a certain area of photography...

its not easy to be good at everyarea.. :)

u have to be practical, DA. as hobbists, no one (unless u are some rich fella) can hope to buy all the lenses to fit all the shooting occasions. look at ur own list of potential WTBs, and see the overlapping ranges. a little bit of this, a little bit of dat... u can't possibily master everything.

sit down and think of wat u shoot most often. then decide wat to buy. even a generalist shooter, i doubt u need a long wishlist of lenses (nor high-end, high-cost).

Well said bro.

Most of us aren't loaded with cash, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to spend so much on something that is only a hobby.

For e,g macro lens. Is it something u r really passionate in? Do you like shooting closeups of insects/flowers? Is SBG/AH your regular haunt every weekend mormings? If so, den get the lens. If not, maybe consider ext. tube for the rare occasion u wanna shoot macro. Cost effective and cheap solution.

True la ... but after encountering lens hunting in the dark  really cheesed me off that night ... i'm dead set to switching to something higher end. So no matter what, the 70-200 would be on my buy list, i'll not follow my wishlist though ... definitely i'll try not to overlap, been told about that countless times.

For now, i feel that i use ranges around 17-300 most often, shooting portraits now and then, landscapes/people... ... another thing is once purchased, i won't be selling so that's why i guess i'm trying to settle on the better lenses as espn said before - get the best and just don't look at anything else.

Lucky I like to shoot girls only
