Nope... I was :complain: :complain: :complain: ... look at the BG.. all too distracting.

It seemed more like a stage play with audiences watching than the "focus" on my kid I wanted .

how about using a wide angle lens shoot everything in...should to fun to see the audiences and all the kids running around.

not my intention... wanted to isolate him more... background people wear very distracting and bright colour clothings.

nah. its pretty okie shots wat. unless u wanna invest in a 300mm/f2.8 IS USM lah... :devil:

from the looks of it, u were standing a bit further off and using ur max zoom length? at dat distance, even a 2.8 might have problem blurring out the background to isolate ur son. remember? bokeh is not just abt f-stop but also the distances bet u, subject and background?

Anyway, it's the bokeh I want.. not too blur our to lose sense of location...juz enuf not to be a distraction... I juz dun like those bright colours... very tempted to PS into a more "less" attention seeking colours.

I thought L lens can withstand some water ? I ever did some shoots during raining day and got some rain but it is still ok.

By the way, it is fun to shoot kids playing with water. Here is one I took quite long ago at JBP
