Self drive trip to Namibia (2012)

Firstly, I want to thank you for being so diligent in churning out such beautiful pictures ( it's no mean feat )
IMO you must have taken much more shots than the ones you have published.
Every photo has a lead ..... something to tell behind the scenes... you have done it WELL

thank you so much for looking, appreciate your kind comments :)

you will half our cost easily :)
get 4 persons, share the car/petrol/accomodation
around 15-18days is enough, we stayed longer for the wildlife actually so its not necessary if you are a general shooter.
hope you get your chance to shoot at Namibia, an amazing place !

Fantastic series. Can see you enjoyed yourself and brought back many memorable pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

thanks for following the thread Daoyin :)

Superb series. Feels like I am flipping through a Nat Geo magazine. Mods shld tag this to the CS front page!

In terms of self drive through the dessert / safari, are there any safety concerns over wild animals when you were out of the vehicle? Are there guides/signs on where you can be out of the vehicle and where you shld strictly stay in the vehicle?

wonderful series of photos!! job very well done!

thanks for the kind words, i am truly flattered.
yes, generally when you are in Etosha National Park, you are not allow to leave your vehicle at all times but there are resting areas and look out points where you can get out for a picnic and toilet break. Signs are put up at these spots. They are marked on the map as well.
within the accomodations inside the park, there are waterholes where you can sit behind fences to watch the wildlife come for a drink.
