Not sure about other HN, but the HN at funan has undergone a renovation and you can see they do carry quite a few sony lens in their display (in their camera sections). In a way, the HN at funan is like a camera shop). Thus, I am not surprised that they will carry this lens.
ps: all the HN that I been to/ask can nego
(just have to find the right people for the best nego price).The shop I ordered from told me it will be delayed till next week.

HN have stocks for the latest E mount lens, including 35F18 and 1018F4.
Sony listed 1018F4 @ S$1199. I got the lens from HN @ Raffles city for S$1099. That is what they quote me directly from the system. I just buy it from them since the price is very close to MS color and best, you can pay by CC.
And for those who want to get the lens from SONY STYLE shops... remember to ask for best pricing. The SONY STYLE shop in marina square gave me a diff pricing when i requested for a best price for the 1018F4 lens. I wont be surprise they are selling 35F18 at below S$629 if you open your mouth and ask.

This 35mm is selling for S$5XX at MS, Click, AP etc. So i don't know why you say it make no sense to sell below S$629.

Thanks for moving on from the price discussion. Just buy if keen. There will always be difference in prices as all shops have different pricing strategy. The SRP is $629 which some of us bought it for, which is the highest price that you can pay for this. You can probably get it a lot lower around $550 plus minus, or wait for me to sell mine at a lower price!
This is just like the CZ24mm f1.8 when it is newly launched, which is SRP for $1,699. You can get this easily at around $1,350 plus minus.
Back to the distortion findings.
What settings do you get this? Wide open at f1.8?

can you post bro some sample pix? I have been using this for a week also and noticed nothing so far it maybe my noob eyes but I have noticed anything really bad about it. I have some sample pix at the NEX7 thread below both wide open and f8
