Well... considering it not a Sony made Zeiss lens... It will be expensive... U will definitely love d IQ from it...
With the 35mm F1.8 so well made and with the superb resolution, Zeiss will need to put their best technology to create something that will allow them to charge a big premium above this 35mm.
Anyway, have been seeing more CZ24f1.8 lately in the BNS. A sign.
Hopefully Zeiss will create a really perfect 32mm prime.

Yeah true bro the center sharpness of this lens is very good already here's one of the 1st shot taken by this lens when I was testing it out the 1st on was the original photo no retouch just run this to LR to resize and 2nd on was close to 1:1 crop (center)
All shot taken at f1.8 ISO100 (I use Auto ISO and the cam chooses 100 for me

The shop I ordered from told me it will be delayed till next week.
Why SG got so limited stock was in HK last week all shop I asked they have plenty of stock.... :-(
Should have ask who want it I could buy for them there...
It's always like that. Same goes for the SEL24F18Z shortage earlier this year.

wow.. didnt know HN actually stock up this lens.... May I know is it retail price ? or can nego ?
I was searching around Funan last night.. most shops were sold out.. but most shops were selling it under $550.. but i really want to get the lens before the new year.. if those shops like courts or hn have stock at sugested retail price $629.. i might just buy it.. =(
HN tags everything at SRP, but the price at HN can be quite flexible if you bargain with the right people there. (But in the case of items highly sought after, can be quite difficult)
Got it at srp...didn't know can get it below 550 @ other shops.

Got mine at $629 from the Sony store at Funan. What to do, can't wait to try out this wonderful lens and seriously, it is worth the price. Very sharp and very nice match for my Nex 7. Finally another Sony lens which can maximise the resolution of Nex 7, and it is 35mm (around 50mm in 35mm format) which is my ideal setting.
If you can wait for full stocks to arrive, it should be slightly cheaper.
There should be 1-2 sets here and there. Try out Harvey Norman, Bally Photo, Sony Stores, etc. The common camera shops may not have stocks as price is cheaper than the SRP and gone long ago. Still can find stocks at Sony store as they are selling at SRP, so not many buyers will want to pay full price.

Yea thats what i am thinking.. have to pay SRP if i want it before New Year.. its around 50-80 bucks for people who can't wait i suppose.. time vs money! :bsmilie:
