SEL 35mm f/1.8 OSS

A 16-50mm f/2.8 OSS will be nice... :)

I would sell all my lenses for that.

But it would really be a challenge to keep the size of that lens small enough to be proportional to the camera.

Any idea when this lens will reach singapore???

Just nice...21122012... end of the world today @ local time 7:11pm according to Maya!

Got it from MS Color in the evening.

I was still wondering so i go MS just know in the evening... :(

hope i'll get a call tomorrow.

Do share with us quick impression/review of the lens, in terms of AF, Sharpness, etc.

Would be nice if anyone here can do a comparison of it with its closest budget brother, the sigma 30/2.8, and see if it's worth the upgrade.

in one of the Hong kong camera stores, I did try it out versus the Sigma 30mm f2.8. Wide open, Sony @ 1.8, Sigma @ 2.8, it’s cake walk, the sigma is clearly much better. However with both at 2.8 the results are comparable.

I won’t say much about contrast and colour because i was mostly shooting in indoor lighting for that test.

When wide open, the sigma is better, in which aspect? Sharpness? If so, I would really be surprised since under the same conditions, the sigma would be shot at a slower speed and without oss. Unless the oss in the 35 wasn't take clever and oss-ed in the wrong direction...

If the Sigma is the same one than the one inside the DP2M it should be really good.
