I had the 50 1.8 and I feel the 24 1.8 will be better than the 35 1.8 as the gap is wider.

I would have preferred a 33.3mm 1:1.4 lens instead of the recycling of the easy choice concept.

Quick impressions...

Built is top notch. Above the kit zoom and pancakes. Just below the Zeiss 24mm. I prefer the slight matte finish of the zeiss over this more fingerprint prone lens but none the less solid stuff.

Pretty sharp wide open. But I admit I am a little spoiled by the Sigma 35mm 1.4 for full frame I and also carrying with me now. That one has to e one of the sharpest primes out there. The NEX 35mm 1.8 is no slouch. But it's no where in Sigma sharp category.

CA is visible wide open. If that sort of thing concerns you.

I would post pics if I actually find out how to get my computer online since my hotel doesn't offer free Internet.

Impressions based on NEX7. So before you ask, I can't just uploaded via smartphone like a NEX6
