EXTREMELY AGREE WITH THAT! well said night86mare bro. and modern photography to me is not just about photo taking anymore, part of the creative process to express your ideas and how you want the photo to come out is PP.

arikyeo dont lie to yourself, almost all good pictures you see nowadays have some form of PP applied, albeit a minimal amount. even if you shoot in jpeg, that is letting the camera PP for you liao. ;)
Maybe I'm still a bit laotu.... remember those good ol' days where everything is shot in film, & if your shot su#ks when you take it its gone? Sorry I'm still stuck at that era... Though I use digital instead of film :embrass:

did you know that:

(1) different film have different characteristics, and that when you use velvia over provia, neopan over tri-x, you are essentially choosing a "picture style" in some sense?

(2) the greatest film photographers spent quite a bit of time in the darkroom working on how to present their vision to their viewers?

alamak, why like that...

you must delete your photoshop, burn your darkroom...

Primary school. :bsmilie:

The big difference that sets us old men to those "want age" people is that we have different skin from them. They have crappy smooth skin, we have high quality wrinkled skin..

Why bring your dad into the picture? Learn to admit your own mistake.:thumbsd:

You just want to sit down and relax at events ah?
err... will pasting hello kitty stickers makes it less serious looking and hopefully arrow will be pointed at someone else?? :bsmilie: joking....

Eh, company event for desk-bound staff leh. I wanna enjoy playing the games, eat the food, mingle with my friends and BE IN THE PICTURES. Lol!

Btw, would everyone here agree that having kit lens is not up to standard? Was at John 3:16 and they advised me AGAINST upgrading my kit lens to 18-135mm as it degrades picture quality. So what does that show? :p

Hmm... so far 18-135, 55-250 have poor image quality, so they're right... :)

arikyeo, the sooner you spend less time looking at "image quality", the sooner you start composing your pictures, the sooner you will produce pictures you can be proud of, instead of having gear that you can be proud of. :bsmilie:

i have seen some people with top end gear producing pictures that my ah ma can do with a pns. on antibiotics, with flu and headache, at that.
