surprisingly really a lot of ppl buying dslr at COMEX despite the price =\ at least 3-4 sets sold within half an hour =\:dunno:

Got mine on friday @ $299. At first when i asked, the staff at the display case say cannot. Then i ask at cashier. The lady behind cashier, she say can, she just asked one of the staff over, wrote something on a receipt. Then i made my payment.

My frd and his gf also had the same experience this evening... so they went to the lady at cashier to ask. And both got it @ $299 too.

My view is that just head straight to the cashier (A lady wearing specs) and ask cos thats where u make ur actual payment.

didn't manage to get mine at 299. Not very friendly and asked me to tag along with other buyers. They are monitoring this thread, mentioning someone posted about it on some forum. Disappointed, but I'd rather get it from your friendly neighborhood store.....

I think the price guide at early year was not so accurate bcoz it's before the price hike due to Yen's currency value. I was quoted $380~$395 from Cathay, AP, MS last month.

I suppose it's really a good buy at COMEX, do correct me if I'm wrong.

Managed to buy the SB600 at $299 without DSLR purchase earlier - but pre-order as COMEX stocks were all out. They weren't keen to sell it to me at the offer price initially but subsequently relented when I asked nicely. Thanks to the helpful CSers who shared the lobang here and of course the helpful supervisor at the Nikon/Challenger booth.

went to comex nikon booth at night, the sales staff said all SB600 sold out... haiz... missed out on this great deal... but end up i go to lvl 6 and buy a velbon monopod, they were giving 20%discounts for all their products at 8pm...
